Payment Method

Online reservations can be made using American Express, MasterCard, Discover or Visa credit cards.

Fee Information

If you choose to make a reservation, a non-refundable reservation fee of $7.25 for campsites, cabins/cottages/yurts, slips, pavilions, shelters, and gazebo' s will be included in your order total.

Your credit card account will be charged at the time that the reservation is made. Please allow up to 24 hours for your reservation to be confirmed.

Site Transfers or Date Changes

There is a $7.25 non-refundable reservation change fee required to make a change to any reservation. To make any changes to your reservation, you must call 1-800-456-2267 at least 1 day prior to your scheduled arrival. This fee is substantially less than the fees associated with canceling a reservation and re-booking a new reservation. Any camping reservation with a departure date that is more than 9 months from today cannot be changed for 18 days after the reservation was made.

Please note: Customer and/or Primary Occupant name changes are not permitted. The reservation will need to be cancelled and re-booked, and all applicable cancellation and reservation fees will be charged.

If you are calling on your arrival date looking to change your dates completely- you can't. At this point, you can only call the park to cancel your reservation. Upon arrival at the facility, no refunds will be issued for date changes or early departures. Refunds will not be granted for events, circumstances, or decisions that are beyond the control of the Agencies (DEC & OPRHP).

CAMPGROUNDS & MARINAS
Cancellations

If you cancel your reservation, you will be assessed the following fees. It's important to know the closer to your arrival date you cancel, the less money you will receive back as a refund.

Cancelling 8 days or more prior to arrival - $7.25 Reservation Fee + $7.25 Cancellation Fee

Cancelling 7 days or less prior to arrival - $7.25 Reservation Fee + $7.25 Cancellation Fee + the cost of the first night' s stay (this amount varies based on the cost of your site).

All fees are retained if you fail to arrive and do not inform the park of a cancellation in advance.

To cancel a reservation prior to arrival, you can cancel online or contact the Reservation Center at 1-800-456-2267. If you are cancelling on the day of arrival, you must contact the campground directly. Refunds will not be granted for events, circumstances, or decisions that are beyond the control of the Agencies (DEC & OPRHP).

Access Pass/Lifetime Liberty Pass Holders

All camping patrons are required to pay the full cost when making reservations. Any fees eligible for a refund will be initiated upon completion of your stay.

PAVILIONS, SHELTERS & GAZEBOS
Cancellations

To cancel a reservation for North South Lake (DEC), please cancel online. For an OPRHP facility, you may cancel online or by calling 1-800-456-2267. If you are canceling on the day of arrival, please call the facility directly.

Reservations cancelled 30 days or more prior to arrival receive a full refund minus the $7.25 reservation fee and the $7.25 cancellation fee.

Reservations cancelled 29 to 10 days prior to arrival receive a refund that is half of the use fees minus the $7.25 reservation fee and the $7.25 cancellation fee.

Reservations cancelled 9 days or less prior to arrival receive no refund.

DAY USE PASSES AT SAM'S POINT

All day use pass reservations at the Sam's Point Area of Minnewaska State Park Preserve are nonrefundable. To make changes to your reservation, you must call 1-800-456-2267 at least 1 day prior to your scheduled arrival. Refunds will not be issued but changes to a reservation can be made. All reservation requirements remain in effect.

Donations made to DEC & OPRHP are non-refundable
